Host Italy against Russian flag for athletes at Paralympics

Winter Paralympics host Italy said on Thursday it was opposed to athletes from Russia and Belarus participating under their own flags. Only a handful of Russian and Belarusian athletes who have proved they do not support the war in Ukraine have been permitted to compete at the current Winter Olympics in Milan/Cortina as neutrals.
