Pop Mart and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced Thursday that a feature film based on the wildly popular character is in early development. The project will combine live action and computer-generated imagery as the Chinese toy company looks to grow Labubu beyond collectibles into a global entertainment brand.

After flying off the toy shelves, China's snaggle-toothed Labubu dolls will soon come alive on the big screen, with maker Pop Mart announcing a collaboration with Sony Pictures.
